Lies and cheating:
Agnes reads bible; and interestingly sometimes they both get into discussions.
One day Agnes went to her room and opened her Bible.
Bible: Welcome back Agnes, God loves you very much
Agnes: So thanks.
Bible: You are so happy today my friend
Agnes: yes, you are correct.
Bible: Then tell me what makes you happy?
Agnes: Well, today one of my friend brought a beautiful golden pen, which her parents had bought her; she was showing it to all of us in the classroom; I also need a golden pen like that; so I took it from her to show to my parents and to ask them buy one for me.
Bible: Did your friend know that you took her pen?
Agnes: No, (laughs) I am just tricking her I hope she must be searching for that pen everywhere.
Bible: Proverbs : 20:17 says; Stolen bread tastes sweet,
but it turns to gravel in the mouth.
For example: You should have read about Jacob and Esau Jacob stole the blessings of his father by disguising himself as Esau in Genesis:27:16,18-24; you can read the story especially in Genesis :27:16 (Rebecca)She covered his arms and the smooth part of his neck with the skin of the young goat.
It was the prophecy that Rebecca wanted to fulfill but all the Prophecies can be fulfilled by God alone Do you know what happened to Jacob as he lied and cheated his father
In Genesis:37:31-33
31 Then the brothers killed a young goat and dipped Joseph’s robe in its blood.
See what Jacob sowed was reaped by him; though it took many years later to reap; HE reaped it.
What he did to his father ; his sons returned him the same lie with the same young goat.
Because John:8:44 Jesus says, he has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Agnes: But I did just for fun; I am not going to keep it for myself; I will surely return it to her tomorrow, I just wanted to see her crying that’s all I will return it
Bible: Proverbs:26:18 Just as damaging
as a madman shooting a deadly weapon
19 is someone who lies to a friend
and then says, “I was only joking.”
Agnes can’t you imagine how your friend could be now; how much problems would have risen at her house ; though it was a fun for you it is a pain for her.
Agnes: I am so sorry, (weeping) I will now tell my parents about this and I myself will go to her home and return it
Thanks for teaching me a good lesson
